Capt. Zehntner Gay (Captain Z)

Capt. Zehntner Gay has been fishing the waters of the Florida Keys and Bahamas throughout his whole life. His extensive knowledge of the local waters and fishing are unsurpassed!

Capt. Zehntner put himself on the water catching fish full-time in the Florida Keys as soon as he was able. His dues were paid to the powers that rule the seas when in the 70's, young Captain Z put his time into commercial fishing, focusing on lobster, stone crab, snapper, grouper and mahi mahi.

His best day ever landed was a commercial catch of over 1400 pounds of snapper on the dock. However, Captain Z says, "I like catching snapper and trapping fish, but there's nothing like having a blue marlin take your line to the max while you hold on for a wild Islamorada ride. Hooked up is what you'll be when you fish with Captain Z."
